About Terese
Terese was born and raised in the small community of Telluride, Colorado. Growing up in a small mountain town not only taught her the importance of connecting with the outdoors, but also the necessity of community. Terese believes that kindness is an easy obligation, and that support comes in a variety of ways.
Terese was always interested in an integrative approach and this became especially clear after two torn ACLs resulted in 6 knee surgeries.
Terese experienced ongoing issues from surgery ranging from infection, weight gain, mood swings, nerve damage, pain, and just an overall feeling of ‘blah’. She would ask doctors about some of the side effects she was feeling and was told that these symptoms were completely unrelated to the surgeries. Without answers, Terese tried something different and began seeing an acupuncturist and counselor. They helped her to understand how everything was interconnected and helped her make better nutritional and lifestyle choices. Almost immediately she saw great improvements in her overall wellness, and that feeling of ‘blah’ started to disappear. The lightbulb went on, and it became clear that acknowledging the mind, body, and spirt, were crucial to making a full recovery.
After her body healed Terese took a trip to South America, and was greatly influenced by the Peruvian culture. She admired their respect for the Pachamama, as well as their use of holistic remedies. Upon her return to the states Terese went back to school for an Associates in Integrative Health. After a few classes she knew her true passion was in wellness coaching and the healing powers of reiki. Terese decided to go for it and became a reiki master. She is also obtaining an A.S. in Integrative Health and Wellness, as well as a certificate in wellness coaching.
Currently Terese resides in the lovely ski town of Breckenridge Colorado. In her free time Terese loves skiing, rafting, hiking, and climbing in her backyard.
